Multi-signature (Multisig) wallet is a hardware device that you can use to securely store your private keys offline. Liminal supports Ledger and Trezor devices for multisig wallets. You need to set up your Ledger or Trezor before linking these devices in Liminal Vaults. To configure your hardware device, see Trezor or Ledger.

Link a hardware device

Upon successful configuration, take the following steps to link your hardware device to the Liminal Vaults user interface.

1. Log into Vaults.
2. Go to your profile section and select "Link a Device" from the dropdown.

3. In the pop-up window, fill in the following fields:

• Device: Select the type of hardware device you want to connect, either Trezor or Ledger.
• Protocols: Select the type of protocols you wish to link with your hardware device.

4. Check in all the three boxes and select Link Device.
5. Connect your hardware device to your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to authenticate your hardware device, then select the Link Device to link your digital assets accounts.

6. Approve the permission to list applications directly from your hardware device. A confirmation message will indicate that your device is now successfully linked.
7. Navigate to Manage Devices in your profile to view and control the protocols linked to your device.
