Smart Consolidation
Vaults supports the Smart Consolidation feature enabling you to customize consolidation rules when calling the Consolidate wallet assets API. The feature helps to automate fund transfer when you consolidate assets from multiple addresses within a deposit wallet to a destination wallet based on predefined consolidation rules. The feature helps to secure and minimize risks in deposit wallet asset management, streamlines withdrawals, allows users to define custom transaction fees and automates the digital asset consolidation.
It supports the following features:
- Automated smart consolidation of deposit wallet assets: The API automatically picks up the consolidation rule configured on your Vaults organization for the respective wallet.
- Predefined rules for consolidation: You can configure the following rules:
- Minimum threshold balance per deposit wallet address: Configure the minimum balance required for each deposit wallet address for consolidation. Vaults currently support a default threshold required for each address of the deposit wallet.
- Consolidation type: Determines how smart consolidation will proceed per address based on the transaction gas fee. You can choose between auto (default) and custom options to define the gas fee per address.
- Spillover Configuration: Spillover configuration determines adding a secondary destination address to where you can send any excess fund if the primary destination address balance exceeds the set limit.
Smart Consolidation is supported for the following EVM-based chains:
- Arbitrum
- Avalanche
- Base
- Binance Smart Chain
- Ethereum
- Polygon
- Solana
- Tron
Consolidation Type
The transaction gas fee (in Gwei) is determined either based on auto or custom options, where:
- Auto: Here, the default gas fee defined by Liminal is considered.
- Custom: You can define the maximum gas fee at which the consolidation will take place. We recommend setting up this option when you want to protect against unpredictable network fees. Vaults currently supports a minimum gas price threshold, where a value higher than the threshold will not support consolidation (i.e., consolidation will be skipped for that address) even if the on-chain gas price may be lower than the threshold amount.
Vaults currently supports the following minimum threshold for transaction gas fee required to consolidate per address:- Binance Smart Chain (BSC): 0.2 Gwei
- Ethereum (ETH): 1 Gwei
- Polygon (POL): 1 Gwei
- Kaia (KAIA): 37.5 Gwei
Note:
- The destination address set up in your Smart Consolidation Rule will take priority over the “targetAddress” parameter in the API.
- If you don’t configure a Smart Consolidation Rule, the Consolidate wallet assets API will apply the standard threshold values for consolidation, established by Liminal.
Refer to the Set up Smart Consolidation Rule, to configure your Smart Consolidation.
