Prerequisites
Overview
Postman makes API stuff easy and fun, no matter your tech game. Whether you're a coding pro or just starting out, it's the go-to tool to play around with our API features.
Dive in with our Postman Collection and test things out, no coding needed!
Setting Up Postman with Liminal's Collection
Installation: Download and set up the Postman app or access Postman online.
Fork Liminal's API Collection: Once Postman is up and running, you'll spot the Liminal Express API collection.
Heads Up!
Ensure you've set up your authentication correctly. Without this, Postman calls to Liminal's API won't function. Dive deeper into configuring your workspace.
Generating API Keys
Got your client id and client secret id ready? You'll need them for the Express API collection. Just head to Liminal UI, hit 'Dev' on the left, and tap 'generate API keys'.
When generating API keys, it's important to note that only unique email addresses can be utilized for this purpose. Duplicate email addresses may cause conflicts and hinder the functionality of the API keys. Therefore, ensure that each email address used for generating API keys is distinct to maintain system integrity and avoid any potential issues.
Configuring Environment Variables
After you've pulled in the Express Collection API to Postman, head to the variable tab. There, plug in the keys you got from Liminal UI:
client_id
: Grab this from the Vaults UI. Just head to the 'Dev' tab and look under 'API Key'.
client_secret
This pops up when you're generating the API key.
base_url
: This should be set to either of the following, depending on the environment you are using: api.sdk.lmnl.app for mainnet and testnet or api.sdk.lmnl.app for developer sandbox environments. Don't forget to save your changes!
The result will look something like this:
Step One in Action: Your Debut Request.
RSA Key Creation
- In the MPC Shards section, select "Create RSA Key" API and execute the script.
- Upon successful execution, an RSA key will be generated.
When the API call succeeds, you'll see an "HTTP-200 OK" response.
