Onboard your organisation in Liminal Vaults
Liminal WaaS offers a web-based user interface—Liminal Vaults along with APIs for your Self Custody organisation, to manage your wallets, compliance, security, and transactions. The staff of your organisation with a specific role assigned, can perform different tasks on the interface.
Role-based access control
Adding different users in an organisation help in managing different operations, such as managing wallets, security and compliance, and signing transactions. In Liminal Vaults, you can add the following types of users in your organisation:
- Owner - Manages organisation settings, user permissions (for admins and members), and access controls.
- Admin - Manages organisation settings, user permissions (for members only), and access controls.
- Member - Participates in wallet management, views transaction history, and initiates or signs transactions.

Wallet manangement
You can create warm MPC wallets and cold multisig wallets using the web interface. For hot MPC wallets, you can use a set of Liminal APIs. All hot, warm, and cold wallets will be visible within your organisation in Vaults, allowing for better tracking and control.
Onboard your organisation
You can onboard your organisation in either the testing or production environment of Liminal Vaults, based on your needs. The testing environment allows you to try out features, test flows, create wallets, and make transactions with dummy assets. The production environment is a fully operational blockchain network, where cryptocurrency transactions are broadcasted, confirmed, and recorded in real time.
Prerequisites
- Install Google Chrome on your computer to access Liminal web applications.
- Install Google Authenticator mobile application on your iOS device or Android device to set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) at the time of signing up and signing in to the web and mobile applications.
- Install Postman on your computer. Delegate all the Postman related tasks to your developer.
Set up your organisation in Liminal Vaults
As part of your onboarding in the testing or production environment, as an owner of your organisation, take the following steps to set up your organisation in Liminal Vaults.
Step 1: Create an owner account.
Step 2: Add users to your organisation.
Step 3: Install and sign up on the mobile application.
Step 4: Create hot wallets.
Step 5: Create a warm MPC wallet.
Step 6: Set up your multisig wallet.
