Set up your multisig wallet
A Multi-signature (Multisig) wallet is a hardware device that you can use to securely store your private keys offline. Liminal supports Ledger and Trezor devices for multisig wallets. You need to set up your Ledger or Trezor before linking these devices in Liminal Vaults. To configure your hardware device, see Trezor or Ledger.
Liminal supports the following hardware devices:
- Ledger Nano S
- Ledger Nano X
- Trezor Model T
- Trezor One
Link a hardware device
Upon successful configuration, take the following steps to link your hardware device to the Liminal Vaults user interface.
- Log into https://vaults.lmnl.app/ for production environment, or https://dev.lmnl.app/ for testing environment.
- Go to your profile section and select Link a Device from the dropdown.
- In the pop-up window, fill in the following fields:
- Device: Select the type of hardware device you want to connect, Trezor or Ledger.
- Protocols: Select the type of protocols you wish to link with your hardware device.
- Check in all the three boxes and select Link Device.
- Connect your hardware device to your computer. Follow your on-screen instructions to authenticate your hardware device, then select the Link Device to link your digital assets accounts.
- Select your device in the pop up that appears on your computer screen.
- In your ledger device, approve Allow listing applications. A confirmation message on your computer screen will indicate that your device is now successfully linked.
- Select Continue to to link your digital asset accounts.
