Set up balance alerts for Gas Station
Wallet balance alerts are notifications sent to users of an organisation when a wallet balance falls below or goes above predefined thresholds. You can set up these alerts for all wallets including your Gas Station wallets. When your wallet balance falls below or rises above a certain value, you’ll receive email notifications, to monitor your wallet balances efficiently by taking timely actions, such as refilling or adjusting funds.
Setting up balance alerts is beneficial in the following ways:
- Successful transactions - Transactions on blockchain networks require gas fees paid in native assets. The alerts will help you refill your Gas Station wallets in time, so that your transactions are always successful without any delay or failure.
- Uninterrupted asset consolidation - The primary use case of a Sprayer wallet is to send native assets to the deposit wallet addresses to facilitate asset consolidation. Your Gas Station will automatically process fund distribution through Sprayer.
- Wallet management - By receiving timely alerts, you can easily manage your wallet balances, preventing both overfunding and insufficiency.
Recommended thresholds for each chain-based Gas Station wallets
The different blockchain networks have different gas fee requirements. Setting alerts for each of your chain-based Gas Station wallets help you manage them effectively.
The recommended refill amount for your Gas Station wallet will depend on how frequently you would like to refill, the frequency of deposits into the deposit wallet, and the number of withdrawals. Below is a rough estimate based on the number of transactions. You can use these estimates to determine the appropriate refill amount based on your transaction frequency. It’s generally recommended to keep the refill amount low and refill regularly, whether weekly or monthly, depending on your needs.
Chain | Native asset | Average gas fee per native asset transaction | Average gas fee per token transaction | Gas estimate for 1000 native asset transactions | Gas estimate for 1000 token transactions | Average for refills for 500 native asset and 500 token transactions |
