Rescan missing transactions
Sometimes a transaction may reflect on blockchain but not show up in the transaction history of Liminal Vaults user interface. This can happen due to the following reasons:
- You received tokens which were previously unsupported by Liminal and hence, weren't indexed in the transaction history.
- An unexpected issue occurred, causing missing transactions.
The "Rescan" feature allows you to search for a missing transaction and update it in your History section. You can update one or more missing transactions by entering a specific transaction hash or providing a block range, respectively. This ensures that all relevant transactions are displayed, including tokens that were not previously recognised by the system, and corrects any discrepancies caused by parsing errors or system crashes.
Note
- All chains are supported except for XLM, XRP, and Cosmos.
Take the following steps to rescan transactions.
- Log into your Vaults.
- Go to History.
- Select Rescan.
- Select the protocol of the transaction(s).
- Under Rescan, select Block Range or Transaction Hash from the dropdown.
- If you selected Transaction Hash, then enter the specific transaction hash in the field. If you selected Block Range, you can enter the first and last IDs of the block range that you want to rescan. Enter the IDs that are below Last Synced Block value. It is the latest block that Liminal has synchronized with a particular chain. Blocks above this value are still in progress to be downloaded on the blockchain node. For example, the Last Synced Block value displayed in the following screenshot is “20238929”. You can search for the blocks below this value, such as from “20238919” to “20238929”. Please note that the block range search is limited to 10 blocks.
- Select Submit to start the rescan process.
Your transaction history updates within 1 to 5 minutes. You’ll receive notifications via email and webhooks when any missing transactions are added to your history.
